Camp Cajon 2025 FAQ

What are the dates and times of Camp Cajon Programs?
We will do 2 sessions:
Session 1: Wednesday, June 25th - Friday, July 18th (No Camp on Friday, July 4th)
Session 2: Monday, July 21st - Friday, August 1st
Hours will vary by site. There are 2 bell schedules.
Camp will be offered from 8:00am-12:00pm at the following sites: Meridian Elementary, Rancho San Diego Elementary & Bostonia Global Elementary.
Camp Sunset will be offered at the sites (listed above) as late as 5pm. These sites do not have Sunrise Programming since students can be dropped off as early as 7:30am.
Camp will be offered from 9:30am-1:30pm at the following sites: Naranca & Montgomery Middle School (6th Grade only).
Camp Sunrise will be offered at the sites (listed above) that start at 9:30am; drop off for Sunrise Programming is at 7:30am. Camp Sunrise is offered at these sites due to the late morning start. Camp Sunset will be offered at the sites (listed above) as late as 5pm.]
When does Registration open?
On February 1st, enrollment will open for students who are eligible for special education Extended School Year (ESY) services through their IEP. A link will be sent via Parent Square where families can select and enroll their student(s) for ESY, Camp Cajon, Sunrise, and Sunset Program.
On March 25th we will open priority registration for Camp Cajon and the Sunrise and Sunset Summer Program. Priority Registration for Homeless, Foster, English Learner, Low Income.
On April 1st, we will open registration for all students.
A link will be sent via Email & Parent Square where families can select and enroll their student(s) for the Camp Cajon, Sunrise, and Sunset Program.
Does my child need to be registered with a ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ school to participate in Camp Cajon?
Yes, Camp Cajon is only offered to students currently enrolled within our school district or enrolled incoming students for the fall. We are encouraging our 8th grade students to attend summer programs at the high school they will be attending this Fall 2025.
What age does my child need to be to attend Camp Cajon?
We are accepting students that will be enrolled in incoming Kindergarten - 6th at ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ in the fall. Currently, we are not accepting TK or Pre-K students. And this year we will not be accepting 7th or 8th grade students.
Do we have to commit to all weeks of Camp?
The camp will be categorized into 2 sessions. Only sign up for the sessions you can attend. If you commit to a session, attendance is mandatory.
Can a parent volunteer during Camp Cajon?
If a parent is working directly with a Certificated Staff member, they will have to check in every day with a valid ID through the Raptor system located in the front office.
Can a parent work during Camp Cajon?
Hiring goes to our current ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ employees. However, if we are still in need of staff, parents who have valid teacher credentials can be hired on hourly contracts.
Parents who do not have credentials but have expertise in a particular area can be hired as a Classified-Consultant professional Expert. Please contact your site administrator for more details.
Is my child required to bring his/her Chromebook to Camp Cajon?
Yes, second grade and up will be required to use Chromebooks for the Core Program portion of the Camp. If your child is an incoming student to ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥, contact the school site that is hosting Camp Cajon and let them know that they will need a Chromebook for their session.
My child is an 8th grader. Can they attend Camp Cajon?
We encourage students to contact the high school they will be attending in the fall for summer programming because we would like them to get to know their campus, staff, and make new friends.
How much does Camp Cajon and EDP Cost?
Please view the EDP Camp Cajon SUMMER BILLING CALENDAR 2025 for these details. You may choose which session you would like to attend. Fees are prepaid and will be due on June 17th and July 15th and are charged at a flat 5-day/week rate including single-day holidays. All fees need to be paid prior to attending Camp.
What are the Sunrise and Sunset (EDP) Program hours?
Camp Sunrise will be offered at the sites (listed above) that start at 9:30am. Camp Sunset will be offered at all sites hosting the camp as late as 5:00pm. All students must be picked up when the program closes at 5pm. Please call for the pick-up/ drop off. The phone number is at the site on the fence.
Can my student(s) go to Sunrise and Sunset (EDP) before or after Camp Cajon?Yes, when registration is open you will be able to select Sunrise and Sunset Camp Cajon.
Will lunch be provided? What about snacks and water?
A free morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be available if students are attending camp the full day. Students may bring a snack to eat during a class break and a full water bottle is recommended for each day of camp.

What should I do if I need to pick my child up early?
We encourage all doctors, dentists, etc. appointments to be made after camp hours, but understand that this is not always possible. If you need to pick your student up early from camp, please come to your site’s front office with identification and our office staff will be happy to help.

Student Restrooms
Student restrooms will be monitored throughout the school day.
Water Fountains
Water fountains are available on campus. We encourage all students to bring a personalized labeled water bottle each day.

What is my child allowed to bring to Camp Cajon?
Most school supplies will be provided for all students. Students are allowed to bring the following items to and from school:
- Chromebook
- Backpack
- Lunch (if they do not eat the school lunch provided)
- Snacks
- Sunblock (especially for programs that will be spending time outside)
- Water bottle
All other items should be kept at home unless approved by your principal or teacher.
Camp Cajon attire?
Throughout the camp, students will be participating in a variety of activities. Clothing should be school-appropriate. We encourage students to dress in attire that is comfortable and safe. For your student’s safety, closed-toed athletic shoes should be worn.
What should my child do if they need to visit the Health Office?
If your child needs to visit the health office (for health concerns, medication, etc.) they should let their teacher know.
What if my student has medical or medication needs?
Please contact your student’s current school office as soon as possible to obtain the necessary paperwork and arrange accommodations. You do not need to wait until camp begins to submit new orders. As camp is typically busy during the first week, we prefer to receive them in advance.
All current orders that have not expired can still be used, and you will not need to submit new ones. We have copies in our electronic system.
Parents or guardians are responsible for dropping off medication at the Camp Cajon school site. Medications will not be transferred from their original school location.
What is the cell phone policy for students at Camp Cajon?
Cell phones must be off and kept in student backpacks when at school.

My student was placed on a waiting list for Camp Sunrise (AM EDP) / Camp Sunset (PM EDP). What now?

Camp Sunrise is available from 7:30am to the beginning of camp only at the following sites:
Camp Sunset available at all sites after camp until 5:00pm
